Other cities seem to have many pictures taken in places that tourists don’t visit.
curious as how a statement like this is confirmed?
wellllllll, Artist/Geotagger/active Flickr-er Eric Fischer has created a slide show [somehow] able to identify at a certain period in time, if a photo is being taken by a local (people who have taken pictures in this city dated over a range of a month or more), a tourist (people who seem to be a local of a different city and who took pictures in this city for less than a month), or some other creature (pictures where it can’t be determined whether or not the photographer was a tourist [because they haven’t taken pictures anywhere for over a month]. They are probably tourists but might just not post many pictures at all).
nuts….right?
well, besides being an incredibly interesting observation that makes me reflect on my own obsessive photo-snapping behaviors…some of these images are just BEAUTIFUL to me.
[Blue pictures are by locals. Red pictures are by tourists. Yellow pictures are undetermined]
