last weekend i visited my mom and we had a Rapture Fish Taco Party! …well, not really. i just happened to be visiting my mom the day the world was supposedly ending {although, the actual time & time zone in which Armageddon was taking place wasn’t clear so the whole thing was rather anticlimactic. also, everyone still chuckles at the thought of Y2K}. But none of that is really even relevant to menu itself…. rambling. the point is check out the FANTASTIC meal we made! (+ a few other Aptos snapshots)

1) McDonald’s Under Pressure to Fire Ronald via @WSJ

‘More than 550 health professionals and organizations have signed a letter to McDonald’s Corp. asking the maker of Happy Meals to stop marketing junk food to kids and retire Ronald McDonald.’

2) San Francisco leads with ban on unwanted Yellow Pages via @usatodaygreen

‘In a 9-1 vote late Tuesday, the city’s Board of Supervisors approved an ordnace creating a three-year pilot program that limits the delivery only to customers who are at home and physically accept them or who give prior approval by phone, mail or sticky note left on the door….the ordnance, proposed by the board’s President David Chiu, will bring San Francisco “one step closer to its goal of zero waste in 2020”.’
